What is JobCircle.com?

JobCircle.com currently operates in CT, DC, DE, OH, MD, NY, NJ, PA, VA, and WV , and provides a totally regional job search experience using our unique Latitude/Longitude functionality.

JobCircle focuses on building lasting relationships between employers and employees by providing a plethora of features that make it easy for an employer to post classified ads, and by creating a simple resume submission process.

JobCircle believes that your career is not only about the money; it is where you've been, where you are now, and where you'd like to go.  It's about facing the everyday challenges of learning new skills and the drive to learn more. 

Who is JobCircle.com?

JobCircle.com was created in the fall of 1998 by three Information Technology consultants who were concerned that many of the job sites at that time were more focused on generating revenues than actually assisting jobseekers in finding work.  JobCircle.com was designed by IT professionals for IT professionals.

In 1999, private capital funding was provided and the addition of a 4th partner allowed for initial growth, and our first official customer joined JobCircle.com in March of that year.  JobCircle.com grew experience growth to over $1M in revenues in its first full fiscal year of operation.

In 2003, partly due to growth and partly due to a downturn in the IT sector, JobCircle.com merged with another local job board, JobNet.com.  This merger paved the way for JobCircle.com's transition from an IT job board to a general job site.  Over 70,000 JobNet subscribers were integrated into the JobCircle.com platform, and the site was expanded to provide offerings in all industries and occupations.  This new merger brought about a new name; Human Capital Solutions.

This merger also brought a major private investor who was one of JobNet's principal shareholders and is still a key shareholder in the company today.  This investor provided the capital to allow the company to expand its product offerings.  In fall of 2003, JobCircle.com produced our first job fair event.  This $120K+ event attracted over 70 companies and 4,000 jobseekers, and thus a new division was borne.

In 2004, JobCircle.com provided 6 career fair events, and in 2005, JobCircle.com produced 12 career fair events.  Our penchant for unique and themed events like ‘Nurses Night at the Movies' or ‘Jobs Gone Wild' in high-visibility locations catapulted the company to the position of the #1 career fair purveyor in the Greater Philadelphia area, and has led to many successes in New Jersey and Baltimore as well.  Our career fairs have become a staple part of many companies' recruiting diet.

To combat the growing unease from the local newspapers and the restrictions placed on our ability to advertise in these publications, hired! magazine was born.  hired! Magazine, launched in Jul 2005, is distributed free to over 918 locations throughout Greater Philadelphia.  40,000 copies are printed every two weeks, and it's full color high-gloss cover on bright-white paper has attracted many of the region's best brands.

Though our company has changed to meet the needs of employers, our mission is still the same: to connect employers with employees with affordable, low-cost, easy-to-use tools.
