Pink Slip Party helps to get jobseekers back to work

We hosted our first Pink Slip Party in the Lehigh Valley last night and it was great! We had about 90 job candidates and 40 recruiters turn out for the event. After planning and hosting five of these events, this was the first time that I felt like jobseekers thoroughly understood how to make the most of this event.

Our 6th Annual Grand Slam Career Fair brought hope for thousands of jobseekers that attended Wednesday’s event. Candidates from all industries and experience levels were able to meet with representatives from 55 companies and discuss what has been on everyone’s minds lately: employment.

…that is what you may be asking yourself if you attended one recent jobfair in Philadelphia. Although National Career Fairs advertised 35 companies for their July 13th job fair, we heard from several sources that only 10 companies were in attendance. As a JobCircle employee, I was outraged to hear this news and just wanted to let jobseekers know that your experience will be different when you attend one of our events.

Grand Slam Career Fair Helps You Hit a Career Home Run!

The ballpark is for more than just catching a game. For the past 5 years, we have been using it to help people find jobs. Each July, during All-Star Week, we gather up 50-125 of our client friends (companies that are looking to hire) and head to Citizens Bank Park for one heck of an employment event, which we call the Grand Slam Career Fair.

Last night we hosted a sensational party in Cherry Hill, NJ that attracted about 200 candidates and recruiters from both the local area and Pennsylvania.

Luckie Night in Baltimore

Last night we kicked off our 2009 Pink Slip Parties in Conshohocken, PA and in a nutshell, it was HUGE – over 300 people. The buzz in the air made it evident that everyone was excited about making new contacts, meeting new people and getting back to work.
