Connecticut social service jobs are being cut.
The Connecticut Community Providers Association recently completed a study that showed private, nonprofit social service agencies in the state are not filling jobs delaying repairs to buildings. Many agencies are even closing programs for the elderly and mentally ill, according to an article by Newsday.
