Sr. Java Developer/JAS

Expertise developing object-oriented, distributed, multi-threaded, real-time, transactional, messaging systems, related issues and solutions.


Need a core java developer with backend server side programming. 

Distributed programming and experience with using API’s

Experience - External:

Experience in financial industry-plus

Knowledge of North American Equities and Options Markets
5+ years experience with back-end systems Java development
3+ years experience with distributed programming in Java using APIs such as JMX, NIO, RMI, JMS, JNDI
2+ years experience with network/socket programming and high performance systems
3+ yrs experience in designing objects with Java patterns
Experience with Linux and other open source platforms/products
Experience executing defined software development lifecycle methodologies and best practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Design documentation using UML diagramming

The following are preferred

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline

Brokerage industry experience - particularly related to securities order management and routing
Experience with JBOSS web application server
Experience with J2EE/EJB/MDB development
Experience with ClearCase development tool
