Enterprise Data Center Solaris/UNIX based has multiple Senior EXPANSION/Additions to staff positions needed to be filled immediately.
THIS POSITION'S SHIFT:
(5Day) M-F 3PM-12AM (2nd Shift)
Required Skills:
Major NJ FIRM is seeking ONE (1) experienced (MINIMUM FIVE YEARS EXPERIENCE) UNIX CONSOLE OPERATOR for their NYC Data Center.
* You must have a STRONG knowledge of all UNIX commands and the ability to either READ/MODIFY/WRITE ksh SCRIPTS when needed.
* Experience with SUN SOLARIS or HP is preferred but we will consider DATA GENERAL or AIX experience.
* You have to be well versed in working with various dapartments such as SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATION, APPLICATIONS DEVELOPMENT & NETWORKING.
* You must be able to work effectively in a TEAM ENVIRONMENT.
* Additional duties will be assisting with HELP DESK FUNCTIONS and AIDING DEVELOPERS with their responsibilities.
* You must have experience in a PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT, MAINTAINING LOG BOOKS, CREATING DOCUMENTATION & RESOLVING/TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEMS.
* Prior experience in LARGE SCALE/Enterprise FINANCIAL ENVIRONMENTS is a definite PLUS.
