The company has extensive contacts within its Fortune 500 client base and is able to access a large pool of talented and responsive professionals with proven records of accomplishment in both the technical and business fields.
We are currently seeking an Oracle Database Administrator who will be responsible for Oracle database development, architecture, administration, and production support services. The primary responsibilities include: - Work closely with business staff to understand their needs and analyze/document the requirements and solutions - Design/development of new or existing schemas - Manage database capacity planning, failure analysis and recovery procedures for all production databases
REQUIREMENTS: - Extensive experience with logical/physical data modeling design and procedures (5+ years of experience) - Database development experience using Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle Stored Procedures (5+ years of experience) - Database Administration/Architecture using Oracle within a Unix and Windows environment (3+ years of experience) - Thorough understanding of Oracle database processes, utilities, and functions (3+ years of experience) - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Must be a team player (team oriented) and willing to follow directions, as well as take initiative - Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance (which requires US citizenship) - Must be willing to carry a pager or cell phone and be reachable 24x7
DESIRED SKILLS: - Experience with CA ERWin - Experience with Veritas Cluster Server, Veritas Volume Manager, and/or Veritas NetBackup - Scripting: Unix Shell, Perl - Full Lifecycle Project Development experience (SDLC)
EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related area of study is required. In lieu of a Bachelors Degree candidate may have an Associates Degree + 5 years of task specific experience.
