Sr. Cisco Network Engineer
Job Description
**Network Design - Provide network design services, ensuring adherence to departmental policies and procedures; coordinate and define network requirements (i.e. design, configure, install, etc.) including
external groups/departments. Coordinate the install and maintenance of market datafeeds and circuits such as Radianz, Savvis, Reuters, BloombergDesign through implementations accommodating network growth, security, and enhancements by maximizing functionality of network equipment. Oversee implementation, provide support.
**Technical Research and Analysis - Analyze data traffic patterns within network infrastructure, ensure optimal performance; proactively identify symptoms and instabilities in a timely and accurate manner to include performing analysis, capacity planning. Make recommendations to management on enhancements to network that will improve the quality and reliability of the networks performance and most cost-effective
solution to management. Research, identify and document new technologies that offer business advancements. Provide network security by configuring routers, switches, firewalls etc.; monitor security measures in place within network perimeter, ensure breaches do not occur and information is safeguarded from unauthorized users, etc. Ensure information is properly protected by assisting the Infrastructure team in developing secure architectures within Production and corporate network environment.Provide management with status reports, timelines and milestone.
Problem Resolution - Proactively oversee the activities involved in quality resolution of complex technical issues, respond to 24-hour/7-day-a-week service needs while adhering to established departmental
guidelines. SLA adherence.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants for this job will be expected to meet the following minimum qualifications:
Experience:  Minimum five years network infrastructure experience required

CERTIFICATIONS                       
Minimum Requirement: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
Preferred: CCIE, CCSP, CISCO IP TELEPHONY SUPPORT SPECIALIST, CISCO FIREWALL SPECIALIST, CISCO IPS

SPECIALIST, CISCO VPN SPECIALIST, CCNA, CHECKPOINT FIREWALL CERTIFICATIONS
