The Information Security Consultant or Senior Information Security Consultant will be responsible for the delivery of security assessment and consulting services to clients across diverse industries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Perform Vulnerability Assessments, Penetration Testing, Web Application Security Assessments, Wireless Network Security Assessments, Regulatory Compliance Assessments, Security Awareness Training, Security Policy Development, and other Information Security Services • Engage in all aspects of solution delivery, from client requirements definition, scoping, and proposal writing, to hands on delivery, through creation of deliverable documentation and post-delivery presentations. • Prepare written reports at the engineering level, manager level, and executive levels. • Ensure assigned project tasks are completed on time and within budget. • Contribute to the Information Security Services Practice offerings by researching market trends, products, tools and techniques to maintain and enhance subject matter expertise. • Build client relationships and identify additional business opportunities during projects. • Maintain operational performance of Core's Security Assessment and Testing Lab. • Participate in professional organizations and industry events. • Maintain knowledge of Core's service offerings.

• AS/BS degree in related field and/or a combination of education and professional experience • Minimum 2 years of professional information security work experience required. Valid experience includes information systems (IS) security-related work performed as a practitioner, auditor, consultant, investigator or instructor, that requires IS security knowledge and involves the direct application of that knowledge. • Minimum 2 years of information security consulting experience preferred. • Information security certifications preferred (CISSP or GIAC certification required within first year of employment). • Advanced knowledge and experience with information security assessment tools and methodologies. • Ability to manage three or more projects simultaneously. • Effective decision making and risk management skills. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Ability to develop innovative approaches, ideas and solutions. • Outstanding interpersonal skills. • Customer focused - Enterprise oriented. • Travel to client locations to perform services. • Average out-of-state travel requirements.
