Data Analyst II

1. Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or Business Administration or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree. An MBA, CFA and/or CPA strongly desired. BRBR2. Candidate must have eight years of progressively responsible experience in mortgage banking in financial reporting, public accounting, large corporate internal audit department, or financial operations with a minimum of five years Secondary mortgage banking and data warehousing business knowledge desired. Company experience preferred. BRBR3. Candidate must be able to work independently and assume responsibility for managing projects and project deliverables. Additionally, the successful candidate must have the flexibility to handle multiple assignments at once. BRBR4. Candidate must be detailed oriented with exceptional analytical, critical thinking and problem solving abilities and an understanding of financial analysis and technical operations. BRBR5. The candidate will have responsibility for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with peers and with management outside the department; therefore, strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential to the position. Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment are also required. BRBR6. Hands on experience with mortgage securities data and other fixed-income securities data and database technology is needed to conduct the financial analysis. Experience with Oracle and Sybase is preferred. The ability to read and write SQL and the ability to use advanced Excel utilities are highly desired.
