We are currently seeking a System Administrator (SA) with Information Assurance (IA) experience to join our team in Central, New Jersey. Job Description: • Support all System Admin (SA) roles in Dept of Defense Research & Development laboratory environment to include user account maintenance, software updates, software, hardware, network configuration management, network/router configuration support, etc. • Provide basic Info-Assurance (IA) support maintaining system security, applying IA patches/updates, performing security scans, documentation of results, and direct support to Laboratory Security Manager • Participate in and provide general SA/IA support to laboratory and field based Test and Experimentation (T&E) of emerging US Army C4ISR related systems • Support the development of T&E plans • Support T&E related instrumentation/data collection plans necessary to achieve analytical objectives of T&E events • Participate in technical tests in laboratory and field environments working with teams of Govt and Industry Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to resolve SA/IA and network related issues • Participate in the reduction of collected data and the generation of data products necessary to support analysis and formation of recommendations and conclusions based upon empirical results • Support/participate in the creation of test reports and presentation materials to communicate results to customer
Candidate possessing US Army Command, Control, Communications, & Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems experience is an added plus.
Job Requirements/Skills: Successful candidates will possess skills in the following areas: • Fundamentals of Systems Admin, Info Assurance, & System Configuration Management • Linux and/or UNIX and/or MS Windows admin aptitude/experience • Fundamental understanding of data transport and networking protocols • Candidates with between 2-15 years experience will be considered • Some travel required within U.S. is possible • Ability to obtain or possession of a current active SECRET or higher US DoD Security Clearance is a must
Work Environment: • Primary work location is Fort Monmouth, NJ • Ability to work independently as well as part of an R&D development team. • Must have good inter-personal, writing, and verbal skills. • Support to be provided in both laboratory and field test environments • Must be responsive to schedule and task deadlines • Must be willing and capable of working as a member of a team comprised of Govt. personnel and other contractors • Multiplexing is necessary – projects/experiments will typically overlap; successful candidate will be effective on simultaneous projects at various stages of completion • Some limited travel required, Continental US only.
Education: • Bachelors of Science Degree is desired • Degrees in Engineering, Computer Science, and Analytical Sciences are favored • Masters Degree in technical field of study is a strong plus • Substitution of a minimum of 6 years relevant field experience in lieu of technical degree will be considered
Compensation: • Salary range of $65K to $130K+ per year (Negotiable based on skill level and experience) • Relocation Package is negotiable • Signing and performance bonus may apply for the right candidate.
