DESCRIPTION: Design, implement, and maintain databases by using Data Transformation Services (DTS) and Extract, Load, Transfer (ETL) to implement and process data from client systems into databases accessible to end users to gather data and analyze with greater ease.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Create and implement processes for transferring data from Call Center, Collections, and Dialer systems in a database management system in order to maintain a large variety of data models, along with controlling the organization, storage, management, and retrieval of data into the database. • Program and write Data Transformation Services (DTS) to allow the extraction, transfer, and loading systems (ETL) to or from a database. • Perform maintenance of database dictionaries and integration of systems through database design. • Build and run complex data models to determine how data is accessed, and back-end enterprise scale applications for end users to access large and growing databases with greater ease and efficiency. • Use Agile Software Development process for software development promoting efficiency and accuracy through the development process. Maintain knowledge of functional area and company policies and procedures. Provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement. Make recommendations to implement improved processes.
QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelors Degree or equivalent in relevant work experience. • 1-3 years of related experience with database programming and analysis. • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005 including in-depth knowledge of the associated stored procedures, views, and functions. • Experience with working legacy DTS, modifying and creating SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages, moving data to and from disparate source systems, with Open Database Connectivity (ODBC), and database integrity concept, and with mid and large range database scalability, performance, security, and maintainability. • Knowledge and understanding of database backed, web application development concepts including legacy ASP, JavaScript, .NET C#, XML/XSLT, and web development toolsets. • Experience building software using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) preferred. • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. • Ability to work in a team environment. • Ability to work in multi-tasked environment. • Ability to prioritize and organize work. • Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule.
