Performance Tester

ATS is an information technologies consulting company providing services to Fortune 500 companies nationwide. ATS specializes in providing full-service staffing solutions by providing technical and business personnel through staff supplementation and project engagements. The company has extensive contacts within its Fortune 500 client base and is able to access a large pool of talented and responsive professionals with proven records of accomplishment in both the technical and business fields.

We are currently seeking a Performance Tester who will provide support for Service Delivery Solutions (SDS) product line, in conformance with QMO.

Key duties include:
1. leads efforts to assess performance tradeoffs of different architectural or design decisions including development of strategies for lab testing
2. assess performance and capacity impact of new features on existing product base, including test case design and execution
3. provides problem identification and resolution guidance and assistance for system related performance problems at client sites
4. provides computer performance support to customers
5. devises tactics and techniques to analyze customer computer usage data for tuning strategies and computing hardware forecasting and for performance test case evolution, and validation of computer performance models
6. supports Principal Performance Analyst in the development of algorithms and construction of capacity planning models in support of existing SDS customers and for protyping.

Position Requirements:
1. Technical expertise in SDS/ISCP computing platform, performance engineering and software development skills preferred.
2. Expertise in AIX operating systems and Oracle and SQL Server DBMS required. Proficiency in performance testing/analysis and profiling tools such as Silkperformer.,JProbe, SAS, Glance and MeasureWare preferred.
3. Ability to quickly develop programs using UNIX shell and/or Perl.
4. Ability to work under tight deadlines with limited supervision required.

Candidate must have analytical thinking abilities, strong oral and written communication skills, and excellent organization and planning skills. Must be able to effectively work as part of a team and interface with managers in development, test, and business organizations. Candidate must be able to effectively manage and perform several high priority tasks at once and quickly respond to requests for performance data in high pressure situations. Prior performance testing and capacity planning experience required.
