ATS is an information technologies consulting company providing services to Fortune 500 companies nationwide. ATS specializes in providing full-service staffing solutions by providing technical and business personnel through staff supplementation and project engagements. The company has extensive contacts within its Fortune 500 client base and is able to access a large pool of talented and responsive professionals with proven records of accomplishment in both the technical and business fields.
We are currently seeking a Software Developer to work the Message Set and Services Development group is responsible for software design and development for the system. The group is responsible for all message set development, as well as services for our customer in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. In addition, the group contains a team dedicated to software development productivity tools.
Duties include design, development, coding, and unit test of software using C and C++ to deliver IN capabilities to a wide range of clients, to support rollout of a number of new services. These services can be created in house or by clients using the SPACE service creation environment. Work also includes development of protocol related service data files. Some interaction with clients, switch vendors, and support of lab-to-lab testing is required. The individual should work well in a fast-paced, innovative, and team-oriented environment. Responsibilities will also include tier 3 client support once familiar with the software.
• BS/MS/CS or equivalent experience.
• Strong software system design skills, including ability to define feature and detailed design specifications.
Experience with C/C++ on UNIX and object-oriented design and analysis.
Knowledge of computer networking and data communications would be a plus.
• Strong oral and written communications
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced team oriented environment, including working with customers and 3rd-party vendors.
• Knowledge of ASN.1, AIN, WIN, CIN, services support, TCP/IP, TCAP protocols would be a plus.
Position involves software design and development, definition and execution of test cases, problem analysis and debugging, software maintenance, requirements review and support. Position requires experience in telecommunications, with specific experience in fixed networks and GSM mobile systems, and good knowledge of voice and data protocols, knowledge of SS7, INAP-CS1, CAMEL Phase 1, 2, and 3, GPRS, SMS, MAP protocols, ETSI and ITU-TCAP, Diameter. Software Development experience is a requirement. Knowledge of ASN.1 notation and UNIX scripting is a plus. AIN Service Creation and testing experience is a plus.
Typically requires 6+ years related experience with a BS; 4-6 years experience with an MS.
SKILL SETS / QUALIFICATIONS
• GSM technology, CAMEL, INAP and GSM MAP and Diameter protocols
