Apex Systems Inc is currently seeking 2 Senior SharePoint Architect/Application Engineers in Philadelphia, PA. These openings are located in Center City Philadelphia and our client is only seeking individuals who are looking to become permanent employees and not simply a contractor or consultant. This is a 3 month contract (W-2 ONLY) to hire, so you will be becoming a permanent employee at the 3 month mark. They have major projects involving SharePoint MOSS 2007 over the next few years which is the reason for wanting a permanent employee. The Senior MOSS Architect will be responsible for architecting, developing, deploying and supporting custom-built applications utilizing Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. Notes: 1) No Corp-To-Corp. Applicants must be W-2 Employee of Apex Systems for first 3 Months 2) No relocation expenses but can work on W-2 Hourly Rate plus Per Diem during the contract to help in relocation transition and costs. Job Responsibilities: • Coding, implementation, testing, administration and maintenance of SharePoint (MOSS 2007) sites • Custom application development in support of large collaboration/installation projects utilizing SharePoint (MOSS 2007) technologies • Develop and maintain custom components for web-based, content management products that enable seamless functionality between SharePoint Portal Server 2003/2007 (MOSS 2007) and MS Office • Work with Business Process Engineer(s) to design & develop functionalities that meet business requirements • Design, develop, and implement web-enabled applications using .Net, C#, VB.Net and other Microsoft based technologies. • Responsible for estimating, creating, and meeting the timeline of the development of release. • Work with end users to collect, analyze and evaluate business requirements. • Examine requirements documents and create technical design documents, unit test, system test, user acceptance test, and implementation plans for small to complex projects. • Provide production support for assigned systems. • Perform quality assurance duties as requested. Test software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. Create and execute test plans. Required Skills: • 5+ years of Object-Oriented programming using .Net, ASP.Net, VB Net and C# programming languages. • Expert in SharePoint (MOSS 2007) Administration (Site creation, document libraries, etc.) • Expert in SharePoint security levels and user additions using Active Directory and Microsoft web security practice • Knowledge of SQL 2005 Reporting and Analysis Services • In-depth knowledge of data modeling including OLAP, MDX, and snowflake and star schema design. • Demonstrated experience designing data warehouses and data marts for enterprise level BI projects. • Experience with SharePoint technologies, databases and web-related technology, web parts, SharePoint Designer. • Must have SharePoint development experience in a business environment. • Proficiency in XML, HTML, DHTML, ASP.NET, C#, VB Net, ASP, JavaScript, style sheet/CSS. • Experience with relational database systems with strong MS SQL 2000/2005 knowledge. • Previous experience in developing custom web parts for SharePoint • Experience with Visual Studio 2005, SQL 2005, and .Net framework 2., .Net framework 3.0 (Optional) • Experience in application development on Microsoft platforms: Windows 2003, MOSS 2007, SharePoint Designer, SQL Server, .Net, Web Parts, and Report Server • Knowledge of front end technologies such as Share Point portal, Performance Point (Proclarity) • Experience in developing technical specifications, data flow diagrams, application flowcharts and interpreting business requirements. • Ability to function as a team player and multi-task in a fast paced environment Apex Systems is a leading provider of technology staffing solutions to Fortune 500 and mid-sized clients across North America.
