The successful candidate will be responsible for providing architectural guidance on large, complex solution development, system integration and package-based implementation projects. Typical responsibilities will include: coordinating communications regarding business partner needs and the status of architecture and engineering work on major programs to IT and business staff; identifying and managing risks and issues on significant projects; acting as a Subject Matter Expert and an escalation resource; providing architectural guidance and drive technical decisions in collaboration with other stakeholders; guiding project engineers, systems engineer, on-shore and off-shore consultants on major projects; analyzing technology industry and market trends and determining the potential impact upon the enterprise; facilitating the development of enterprise architecture governance structures based on business and IT strategies; facilitating enterprise application ar chitecture implementation and on-going refinement activities; participating in the development and execution of a communication (including education) plan for enterprise architecture standards and providing regular reports to senior management; participating in and contributing to the Centers of Competence (CoC), as well as collaborating with other technical teams in the exchange of business/ technical knowledge, in the development and evolution of architecture standards, guidelines, reference architectures, and the Information Technology Roadmap.
General Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience. Demonstrate strong thought leadership skills including the ability to provide vision and strategic direction to highly technical resources, and to influence key decision makers. Demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in one or more critical IT technology areas, such as ser vice oriented architectures (SOA), .NET, and JAVA. Demonstrate broad knowledge of essential IT technologies used in supporting business processes. Demonstrate critical thinking skills, technical ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness in developing and providing pragmatic technical solutions for projects within a defined architecture framework. Demonstrated experience creating and utilizing IT vision, strategies, goals, critical success factors, and performance measures, and understanding their implications as business drivers to application architectures for large Enterprise class systems. Demonstrated understanding of and experience with business requirements and the associated problems requiring well-engineered and integrated technical solutions. Demonstrated ability to act as a subject matter expert and an escalation resource for an entire portfolio of applications for a Business Unit of a large organization. Demonstrated experience implementing large scale IT technologies to sup port business processes and needs. Must have strong oral and written communication skills, and be customer focused to understand and appropriately respond to customers' business needs. Demonstrated consulting and negotiation skills. Demonstrated ability to interface effectively and collaborate with clients, peers, and , and management to develop solutions and ensure stakeholder buy-in. Demonstrated ability to accurately analyze information and make sound decisions. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and accountability for achieving results.
