Project Scheduler / Planner Tracking Code DCO 288772 Job Description Apptis is looking for a Senior Program Control Specialist to join our team in Washington D.C.! The Senior Program Control Specialist is responsible for schedule development, maintenance, reporting and tracking for any or all capital investment projects/programs. This position provides direct, one-on-one schedule support to Project Managers/Leads in assessing program performance and providing input to earned value management reporting. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: * Utilizing Primavera (P3)/Microsoft Project scheduling software as the project scheduling tool. * Setting up and maintaining individual project schedules as well as establishing an integrated schedule for all Automation Sector projects/programs; * Monitoring of the critical resources needed for the projects * Performing critical path and schedule variance analysis. In order to accomplish the responsibilities of this position, the candidate should be capable of: * Developing and monitoring resource & cost loaded CPM schedules * Relying on experience & judgment to plan and accomplish goals * Performing a variety of complicated tasks * Leading and direct the work of other support personnel * Maintaining and updating project scope within a work breakdown structure. * Reporting on unbudgeted work activities. Required Skills * Experience with eCPIC, Primavera Project Planner or MS Project * MS Project Office Suite ( Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio) * Working knowledge and experience with program/project management functions including EVM, Schedule Management, Risk Management, and Acquisition Management. * Knowledge of various contract types including CPFF, CPAF, FFP & T&M is desirable. * Strong work ethic to accomplish tasks within stringent time constraints. * Strong Organizational skills * Ability to interact with federal and contractor personnel is essential. * Ability to self-manage and work effectively under tight deadlines. * Experience in financial management preferable Job Location Washington, DC, US.
