Consulting in corrosion/failure mechanisms of water systems (boilers, cooling towers, etc.) is an important service to AHWT customers, supporting chemical treatment recommendations and problem-solving. As Metallurgist you will be responsible for corrosion mechanisms and testing procedures. You will also supervise a team of 1-2 exempt and 1-2 non-exempt staff members. This position is located at the Ashland Hercules Research Center in Wilmington, Delaware. *Based on our scientific career ladder structure, the job level and compensation will be commensurate with education and experience. Qualifications: * Minimum of B.S. degree in relevant science/engineering * 5 years experience analyzing corrosion and metal failure causes/mechanisms in industrial water systems * Knowledge of metallographic analysis, including metallurgical and electron microscopy * Good communication skills and reliability * Team environment * Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
