We are currently seeking an Oracle Software Developer/DBA who will have a development role on the gateway product in support of number portability. The candidate will be responsible for software/database design, development, unit test, and support of integration and system test. The candidate will also work with systems engineering in defining requirements, developers in optimizing code for database access, and working field issues with our customer support center. The candidate must be a good team player, be able to learn new systems quickly, and work independently on small development teams under the direction of a lead developer. The candidate will have assignments within a larger feature and must be able to design their software assignment. The candidate must work within their feature team and participate in proposing solutions. The candidate will also be responsible for working to resolve customer issues.
Skill Sets / Qualifications
1. Strong working knowledge and experience in Oracle Database Administration (database, table and index design and maintenance, optimization and tuning) as well as Oracle RAC and ASM.
2. Knowledge and experience in SQL and shell scripts, Oracle stored procedures and functions, JDBC, Java, J2EE, JMS, CORBA, SOAP, JavaScript, JBoss, High Availability and Fault Tolerant Concepts, Linux based servers, Eclipse IDE and CVS are required.
Must have good written and oral communication skills, inter-personal skills, as well as organizational skills.
