Requisition Number IT 615 Title Business Development Manager City Union State NJ Country United States Job Specifications Bed Bath & Beyond is seeking an experienced professional to join the team building two high potential, specialty businesses - (1) The Back to College program and (2) The Beyond Store special order fulfillment service. This Business Development Manager will assist in the development and execution of new marketing plans and business strategies for these businesses. Reporting to the Director of Back to College and The Beyond Store, the successful candidate will: - Monitor implementation and effectiveness of existing marketing programs and strategies and provide actionable suggestions that could lead to stronger performance. - Complete competitive market assessments and present recommendations for new initiatives that could expand the business. - Update and/or expand training materials and related guides. - Work closely with Customer Service and Store Operations to ensure store associates are prepared to execute business plans- coordinate training and communication materials. - Track key business performance metrics and highlight relevant trends that should be addressed. Job Requirements - BA with 5+ years of demonstrated success as a manager of a variety of projects and assignments in a multi-unit organization - Demonstrated appreciation of a customer service focused culture and service instincts that intuitively shape business decisions - Effective communication skills and solid writing ability - Good problem solving skills and an intellectual curiosity - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel spreadsheet analysis and Powerpoint.
