Data Architect

Project Work:
- Working with senior members of the Data Team, analyze business requirements documents to extract data related requirements.
- Design conceptual and logical models representing database solutions for technical design review, then incorporate them into Technical Design Documents.
- Create or modify database tables, views, and indexes as needed for testing and implementation.
- Design and develop data conversion and initial load scripts to populate new or modified tables in accordance with conversion and migration plans.
Day to Day Support:
- Provide support for Org Unit maintenance application.
- Review master data changes among various ECIS environments to promote consistency, reduce special data driven programming, and support enterprise wide technology, such as an ERP or Data Warehouse.
- Recommend improvements in data structures with an emphasis on consistency, reduced duplication, and high performance, and implement upon approval. 
- Provide support for the other areas in Business Solutions, assisting in problem diagnosis where data related issues are indicated.
- Develop and implement solutions to data related Work Orders.
- Work within the guidelines of the Change management Process as it relates to promoting data objects.
Skills

More than three years of skills in conceptual data modeling, logical database design and physical database development and implementation.  Strong "hands-on" skills with vendor database integration and migration.  At least 1 year of consistent use of Computer Automation's ERWin modeling suite including ModelMart.  At least 1 of the following database managers, Oracle 9i+ or MS SQL Server.  Strong SQL experience with ad hoc queries and stored procedures.
