Senior Red Hat Systems Administrator

Main technologies utilized: Linux Red Hat Enterprise 3,4,5; ESX 3,5; Tomcat; Apache (1.3.3.1 and higher); IBM’s TSM Enterprise.

Description:
As a senior member of a team, utilize Red Hat administration skills to maintain and upgrade the client’s server infrastructure as well as provide 24x7 system support. Support critical systems within the Infrastructure & Operations division of this large global supplier of medical equipment and supplies.

Requirements:
Expertise in Red Hat, and knowledge of HP-UX and AIX operating systems. Familiarity with storage devices from multiple vendors including IBM and HP disk storage supporting Internet and Intranet applications.
PERL or Shell scripting.
Ability to work individually and as a team member.
Good oral and written communication skills
Candidate must be self-sufficient and able to work in fast-paced environment.
BS Degree - CompSci, EE, CompEng preferred.

Optional Skills:
Solaris OS support
IBM storage experience.
General Understanding of Network Security.
Experience managing Weblogic on a VMWare environment.
Experience working with offshore teams a plus but not required
