SharePoint/MOSS Programmer

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 5 years experience developing complete websites, applications, workflows, database schemas and business processes in medium to large corporate environments.
Minimum of 5 years experience as a SharePoint developer creating workflows, forms and sites with Windows SharePoint Services, MOSS, MS-Office tools, .NET 2.0 Framework (or higher), Visual Studio, SQL Server 2000.
Minimum of 1 year MOSS version 2007 experience, preferably in high load, high availability environments.
Experience focused on SharePoint API development, publishing, and windows workflow development.
Current Microsoft or other technical certifications highly desirable.
Must be self-motivated with the ability to learn quickly and to apply their experiences to development of new systems and applications.
Thorough understanding of systems development methodology best practices.
Collaborative approach to design issues, leadership and problem solving.
Excellent written and verbal communication and customer facing skills.
Must have the ability to handle multiple projects at once and the ability to work under pressure to meet departmental and user deadlines.
Strong organizational, project management and leadership skills to lead others through system installations, modifications and training.
Must have strong written and oral communications skills, high analytical skills, and the ability to deal with people effectively.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science or related discipline, or extensive equivalent technical experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
International travel up to 15%

Work with Project Managers and Business Unit Analysts to document system requirements, write technical specifications, estimate work effort and report status on all projects.  Work with our customers to develop project requirements and to provide training and support.
Work independently and as part of a team to provide technical and development support for Microsoft Office SharePoint Services (MOSS), SharePoint Portal Services, CMS or other application servers.
Provide detailed written technical specifications for all new systems or modifications to existing systems.
Assist Helpdesk and other IT Staff to troubleshoot and resolve issues in SharePoint and other intranet applications
Responsible for investigation, design, programming and implementation of business systems.
Provide database support of applications by designing databases and writing stored procedures and views using MS SQL Server and DB/400.
Provide, as part of a team, direction and training of other IT personnel on SharePoint 2007/MOSS solutions.
Develop, enhance and troubleshoot software applications for all SharePoint 2007/MOSS solutions.
Analyze systems problems; determine solutions and takes appropriate action steps to implement solutions.
Use innovative thinking to investigate new technologies that can be applied to meet the needs of our customers.
Maintain industry and technical awareness of new and emerging technologies by attending local user group meetings and seeking out applicable training and certification opportunities.
