Regional Controller

Position Description
George Weston Bakeries is now part of Bimbo Bakeries USA.  We are a 4 billion dollar fresh baked goods company with such brands as Arnold, Thomas, Entenmanns, Tia Rosa, Bimbo, Freihofers, Stroehmann, Marinela, Boboli, Mrs. Bairds and more. Currently we are looking for a Regional Controller in our Federick, MD Bakery.
Our Controller will be responsible for supporting the Manufacturing VP as well as bakery Accounting staff for a regional group of bakeries.   Additionaly this person is responsible for interfacing with Corporate Central Manufacturing staff as it relates to financial and efficiency data.
Strategic Analytics

,•Comprehensive cost management and investment strategy  (Capital)
,•Product line focus (sale f returns f profitability)
Operations / Tactical
,•Product and plant profitability
,•Identify operational issues and opportunities
,•Drive the identification, implementation and measurement of productivity initiatives
,•Benchmarking Best Practices across Plants
Align financial reporting with business objectives
,•Predictive vs. historical / lagging indicators
,•Actionable (decision data vs. numbers)
,•Activity based focus (identification of cost drivers and elimination of non-value add)
,•Regional, Brand and Category perspectives
Standardization and automation
,•Support identification and implementation of shop floor tools and financial apps (Oracle)
,•Consistent message and presentation

Position Requirements
• 5-7 years experience in a process accounting role
• ERP Systems experience
• Internal Controls experience
• Must have past leadership experience
• Strong general accounting background
