Supports technologist in a wide variety of functions - (i.e. patient transporting, filming, film processing, paperwork, equipment set-up, packing, etc.).This description is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time. This job may require working on weekends. Coordinates the safe transportation of patients to and from the unit. Assists technologist with routine responsibilities which include: Transferring patients on and off the exam table; Preliminary positioning for exams; Ensuring patient comfort during exams; Giving patients basic, non-medical exam instructions. Assisting patients with dressing for exams, as needed. Performs filming and film processing as directed. Assist in the set up and packing of equipment. Assists with paperwork as directed. Assists in the event of a medical emergency during testing and may provide CPR. Qualifications: Minimum 6 months - 1 year related experience and/or training; high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous orderly/P.C. experience is preferred. Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy and medical terminology preferred. Would also prefer a high level of cross-sectional anatomy.
