Nurse Clinician II Job Code: 0207 Division: Suburban Hospital Location: BETHESDA, MD US Travel Involved: None Job Type: Full Time Job Level: Experienced Education: Associates Degree or Equivalent Skills: Category: Staff Nurses Compensation: Position Summary: Level II Trauma Center · Independently plans, coordinates, and directs those activities essential to the provision of quality nursing care for assigned patients. · Coordinates the medical plan provided by support service departments relating to the assigned patients. · Identifies and implements nursing interventions and evaluates results. · Demonstrates developing leadership qualities. Requirements POSITION RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to: Director/Manager or designee Positions Supervised: Functional supervision is exercised over two to five nursing staff members, including nursing and support staff. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES: An Associate’s diploma in nursing is necessary. A BSN is preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure as an RN in the State ofMarylandis required. EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS: · One year of experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: · Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages. · Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. · Requires effective customer service and organizational skills. · Requires ability to communicate via documentation, telephone, computer and directly. · Requires math, reading, adaptability, logic, technical and typing/word-processing skills. · Requires knowledge or specialized equipment: respirator, computer, Hoyer lift, code cart, small equipment.
