Senior Network Planning and Engineering Consultant

We are currently seeking a senior network planning consultant with a minimum of 5 to 7 years of deep expertise in IP/MPLS and Metro Ethernet technologies working with wireline and/or wireless service providers.  Must have a deep understanding of technology, standards, and forum related developments.  Candidate will work with customer to help plan, design, engineer and optimize Metro Ethernet backhaul network.  Candidate will work remotely and on customer site.  Candidate should be able to interface with customer at all levels in the organization.

1. Sound understanding of end-to-end Ethernet and IP/MPLS architectures and interworking situations
2. Design and implementation experience with various services (e.g., VLAN, VPLS, pseudo-wire, etc.)
3. Deep understanding of routing technologies
4. Experience with mobility (backhaul), VoIP, Broadband Data/Video application environments
5. Knowledge of OA&M capabilities
6. Hands-on experience with vendor products
7. Security experience is a plus
8. Cisco or other certification preferred
9. Some travel will be required
