We are seeking a Business Development Manager for the Southeast responsible for discovering and developing strategic, dynamic client partnerships. As a visual and public representative, it is critical to achieve the extension of exemplary customer service to continuously drive long-lasting collaborative partnerships within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Further, it is the overall responsibility of the Business Development Manager to provide industry driven feedback and environmental information to management in order to ensure that alignment is maintained between management and the marketplace.
Associate’s Degree (Business Management, Finance and/or Life Sciences) required; Bachelor’s degree (Business Management, Finance and/or Life Sciences) preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of sales and marketing experience within life sciences vertical; 3 years experience in pharmaceutical research or CRO preferred.
Normal Business Hours based on a nine-hour workday; availability to provide coverage beyond regular business hours during the week. Travel required, typically 30%. Proven cold calling, prospecting, and new client development success. Strong communication skills (written and verbal), negotiation, presentation and organizational skills. Ability to operate in project team environment.
