Senior Java / J2EE Developer

Aavalar's client is creating mission critical work flow tools to be used by internal data analysts.  We are looking for senior consultants who can work under aggressive deadlines in a fast paced environment to get the job done right the first time.

Consultant's Title: Senior Java Developer

Work Location:  Near Princeton, NJ

Is Telecommuting possible?  No... need to be on site

Work environment : A-space office building, easy parking, easy access from major highways

Who does this position will report to?:  Manager of Internal Data Processes

Why is there a need for a consultant/contractor?
There is simply too much work and too many projects for internal staff...

What is the start date of the contract?:  ASAP

What is the anticipated length/scope of the contract?: 6 months initial to long term

What is the size of department?: TBD

Responsibilities:
" Design, develop, test, and support work flow tools in a team environment

Role with the group: Individual contributor.

Required Skills:
" Senior Level Java/J2EE development experience.
" Proven experience with Struts and EJBs a must
" Multi Threaded Application Development experience
" OOD
" Solid SQL and/or PL/SQL experience linking to JAVA middleware
" TCP/IP, HTTP
" Database Modeling

Desired Skills:
" XML/SLT, UML
" Websphere or JBOSS
" IBM MQ

Work Hours and Schedule:  Typical professional day

Is overtime paid, and is it at straight time?  No... Day Rate.

Who is involved in the interview process?
-Initial phone interview will be with one of the senior members of the staff.
-If phone screen goes well then a series of interviews with the hiring manager and members of his staff will be scheduled.
- The contract will begin immediately following the interview process.
