This Microsoft Exchange position is responsible for providing strategic and tactical support for our companys Microsoft applications, with a specific focus on Microsoft Exchange. This position provides oversight for all components of messaging technologies related to Microsoft Exchange, including Active Directory, Instant Messaging, archival/journaling tool, software release management, and other Unified Communications productivity tools. This position will support day-to-day operations, project management and implementation, incident management and resolution, installation, configuration, and technical support of the Exchange environment. Additionally, this position coordinates project activities with other teams across IM to ensure successful and seamless implementation of IM and IT Operations goals and objectives.
Ensure successful day-to-day operations of Microsoft Exchange and related Messaging technologies, including timely response to incidents and elimination of major repeats, budget/financial management and vendor management
Provide technical expertise and strategic direction for messaging solutions, including oversight for all associated resources, including contractors and/or vendors
Project/Portfolio management to ensure alignment to technology roadmap and departmental goals and objectives. Build messaging capabilities to be flexible and scalable enough to meet current needs and potential growth opportunities
Stay current with emerging technologies related to Exchange and messaging technologies, and provide periodic updates to technology roadmaps, as needed
Provide cross-functional consultation and participation as needed.
Requirements:
Skills:
Advanced knowledge and application of Microsoft Exchange
Proficiency in related messaging technologies and related Microsoft technologies
Project management, with emphasis on management of technology integration
Education / Experience:
Bachelors Degree with a preferred concentration in IS/IST/MIS
At least 5 years functional experience supporting MS Exchange initiatives.
Demonstrated experience working with Active Directory, Instant Messaging, and other Unified Communications productivity tools.
