Currently looking for a Scientist II (Hybridoma)
GENERAL SUMMARY The candidate will be working with a group on the development of therapeutic antibodies in oncology using hybridoma technology. Requirements include Ph.D. 2+, or BS/MS 6+ years of experience in immunology and tumor biology in industrial or academic settings. The individual must have proficient knowledge and expertise in hybridoma antibody generation. The individual will be accountable for implementing all tasks of hybridoma techniques to completion of establishment of monoclonal hybridoma cell lines producing antibodies of interests. The individual will have responsibilities for developing assays suitable for identification of antibodies to specific targets, and performing immunochemical and cell-based assays for validation of antibody activity and studies on advancing antibody development platform. Experience in molecular biology and B cell immune response is a plus. The qualified candidate must be a highly motivated individual with proven skills in verbal and written communication and teamwork.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Generation of antibodies to various molecules using hybridoma technology. 2. Co-ordinate with project teams to streamline the antibody generation process. 3. Development of immunochemistry and cell-based assays for validation of antibody activity. 4. Performance of studies with candidate antibodies in biological assays. 5. Fully document all protocols and results in notebook and compose summary report.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE 1. Knowledge and expertise in hybridoma antibody generation. 2. Proven hands-on skills in the performance of ELISA, FACS, Western-blot, PCR, cDNA cloning. 3. Knowledge and research experience in immunology and tumor biology. 4. Experience and skills in performing studies on B cell immune response and function. 5.
