UNIX Test Engineer (304214-636)

Design real world scenarios for database configuration, data protection and recovery, performance and stress testing
Design and execute test cases for testing of database data protection and recovery scenarios
Track and manage the testing progress
Create detailed Modification Requests (reports of “bugs” found) and work with software developers to track down and solve the problems found.
Perform basic UNIX System Administration tasks on a variety of UNIX architectures.


Required Skills:

Minimum 3 years of hand-on DBA experience on at least one of the database products like Oracle, Informix, DB2, SAP oracle, SAP MaxDB, Sybase and MYSQL
Strong UNIX background required.
Experience with SQL, KSH Shell Scripts, Perl
Prior experience in testing is preferred
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work well either independently or as part of a team.
Degree in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline highly preferred.
