Position Description George Weston Bakeries is now part of Bimbo Bakeries USA. We are a 4 billion dollar fresh baked goods company with such brands as Arnold, Thomas, Entenmanns, Tia Rosa, Bimbo, Freihofers, Stroehmann, Marinela, Boboli, Mrs. Bairds and more. Currently we are looking for a Plant Maintenance Manager in our Greenwich, CT Bakery. The Plant Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the following: Analyzes and solves technical maintenance issues. Ensures safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations on environmental, health and safety issues. Manages and develops plant maintenance programs to ensure minimal downtime. Implements systems to assure that product are manufactured in a safe, sanitary and efficient manner. Identifies implements and manages capital improvement projects. Conducts performance appraisals of the Maintenance management team and recommends and/or implements appropriate training programs to address developmental needs. Assures an effective PM program for the facility. Administers and audits all safety control programs. Administers and audits all environmental protection programs. Develops training programs for maintenance supervision and mechanics. Develops short and long term planning, objectives, programs and goals and department budget and cost controls. Plant Environmental Reporting (In accordance with Company Policy, Federal, State and LocalLaws) The Plant Maintenance Manager reports to the General Plant Manager. Position Requirements Five or more years of hands-on management experience in maintenance and engineering. Operational background in electrical circuitry, refrigeration, fuel burning equipment and machine mechanics. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of PLC programming. He/She will be familiar with programs like IPM (Integrated Process Management) or a similar statistical process and control system. Knowledge of safety related issues including compliance with State, Federal and Local regulations. He/She will demonstrate strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills and have the ability to use a personal computer. AIB certification preferred. Strong knowledge of Environmental Reporting to meet Federal, State and Local Legal requirements.
