Director Training and Process Development
The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational direction for the Training and Process Development (TPD) team, ensuring TPD business processes are aligned with company strategic goals and objectives, exploring technology solutions to optimize business processes, delivering training opportunities based on business, compliance, and regulatory needs of the organization, and serving as the Chief Learning Officer for the company. The incumbent will provide strategic direction for the Training and Process Development (TPD) team. Will oversee the development, execution, and evaluation of company training programs. Will create rigorous processes to assess existing needs for training, training gaps, and the impact of training across the company. Will execute a focused, thorough, and thoughtful process to determine existing and emerging skills and knowledge needs within the organization. The incumbent will create a consistent approach to developing and delivering training solutions. Develop instructional design, training materials, and execute training delivery. Ensure TPD business processes are aligned with company strategic goals and priorities. Optimize use of technology and blended learning approaches. Regularly assess effectiveness of all training programs. Manage training budget as well as serve as Chief Learning Officer. The incumbent will provide leadership and oversight for PRIDE team and oversee all aspects of quality document gap analysis and document development. Will lead business process improvement initiatives for the company. Evaluate, hire, and manage vendors as well as leverage skill sets and information with other pharmaceutical learning professionals and bring best practices to the company. Requirements for this position include a Master's degree in Training, Education, Business, Organization Development, or related area. Supplemental training in vendor designed training programs (technology, general management, etc.). 5-10 years of corporate or vendor-related training management and delivery with a variety of individuals and groups in various settings (classroom, institute) and business foci. Excellent skills in instructional design and delivery and organization development. Ability to establish rapport with diverse training audiences. Excellent internal consulting and relationship building skills. Demonstrate excellent leadership acumen. Good platform skills (facilitate learning and groups, not just "deliver" standard programs). Exhibit team and partnering skills. Good understanding of pharmaceutical business and drug development processes. Work experience that includes all levels of an organization including senior executives. Ability to lead organizational change initiatives as well as capability to prioritize projects based on corporate strategic goals and general business needs. The candidate will posses excellent communications and team skills. Ability to deliver effective presentations to groups. Extensive knowledge of technology and appropriate application to training solutions. Ability to make presentations to groups with confidence. Aptitude to manage staff (either employee or contracted) effectively to meet responsibilities of position and knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCPs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
