My Client has an immediate opening for a Programmer Analyst/Systems Analyst. Successful candidate will be required to:
•Under limited supervision, maintain the current implementation of MFG/Pro, an ERP application written in Progress. Coordinate and be responsible for planning and execution of updates/upgrades.
•Design, develop, and support software computer programs, databases, and software documentation using Microsoft database platforms, including Access and SQL Server.
•Have strong interpersonal skills required to interface and work closely with the user community to understand their needs and translate that need into effective and successful software solutions; excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
•Understand and promote the software development lifecycle.
The qualified candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience with a minimum 1-3 years of programming experience. Ideal candidate will have previous experience with Progress 8.3 and higher and MFG/Pro, and will have performed a Progress upgrade (i.e. - 8.6 to 9.0).
Manufacturing background a plus.
Candidate must also be able to:
- Shell script in Unix.
- Code in VB/Cold Fusion/HTML
- Proficient in Access and SQL Server.
- Write macros for Office products.
This is a full-time position. Candidate must be willing to relocate to area (30 miles from Atlantic City; 50 miles south of Philadelphia).
