A client of ours in Philadelphia is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead their efforts to implement the best eCommerce solution available. They hire smart and passionate people, so this is a great opportunity for you to work in a challenging environment on the ground floor of a successful start up. Their site is growing by leaps and bounds, so you must be comfortable in a dynamic environment where development is fast and requirements are constantly changing. This position is full-time in their downtown office in Philadelphia, PA.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Lead the planning and execution of a full scale website redesign project in an unstructured environment. * Implement and support Agile or iterative based SDLC processes. * Accountable for each project's planning and implementation, including, but not limited to, project schedule/milestones, scope, budget, resources, risk management, project status communication and issue escalation and implementation of project according to the business requirements. * Manage projects comprised of multiple sub-projects and tasks. Evaluate project deliverable changes and determines their impact on related and interdependent tasks and projects. * Plan and manage all aspects of a project including, but not limited to, scope, execution, and budget. * Build project teams, define roles and responsibilities, and manages action items. * Conducts status reviews with the IT and Management teams. Identifies variances and initiates corrective action to stay on target. Resolves and/or ensures appropriate resolution of all business and technical issues. * Assists with the negotiation of vendor contracts and services. * Maintains effective communication with project owner, management and the project team.
Requirements:
* Key: Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and possess excellent leadership skills * Minimum 6 years of project management experience. * Extensive knowledge of software development processes, including prior application testing and design. * Fluent in, and has experience with, Agile methodologies * Strong experience leading projects for web based, eCommerce applications * Must be excited about a start-up, working in an unstructured environment (potential for long hours and taking on multiple roles when required.) * Excellent interpersonal and negotiation/influence skills for Non-direct reports * Able to work effectively as a team member. Strong organizational skills. * Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - and the ability to clearly communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical team members. * Strong customer service/customer relations orientation. * Able to work in a fast paced environment * Proven track recorded of delivering results in an unstructured environment * Experience with Project Management / Team collaboration software (BaseCamp, Redmine, etc.)

* Global e-commerce experience a significant plus * Experience with financial transactions and sales a plus
