Power Plant Performance Engineer

Seeking Degree in an engineering and 3+ years experience in power plant design, troubleshooting, operations or performance evaluation to support multi-plant operation.

Shall:

***  Analyze plant performance data, identify improvement opportunities and, in coordination with Plant Management, recommend capital technology, and processes improvements to management for further development.

***  Ensure that Plant Management and Supervisory personnel are aware of industry Best Practices.

***  Coordinate plant performance analysis and testing. Support plant staff in monitoring and improving unit efficiencies. Review plant data and perform trend analyses to detect present and potential problems.

***  Research, identify, and justify performance improvements for all generating units.

***  Utilizing industry resources, identify new and innovative techniques and best practices. Serve as champion for new techniques as appropriate.

***  Perform inspections and condition assessments of major power plant components to identify potential availability losses and recommend appropriate corrective action.

***  Investigates and evaluates new ideas, methods, technologies, and materials related to plant operation and recommends improvements.
