FPMI is seeking a Sr. HR Specialist with Classification Experience in Washington, DC to assist with a large recruitment project. Selected candidates will be responsible for and should be experienced in the following duties and responsibilities: * Conducting competitive and non-competitive staffing and placement actions; * Drafting vacancy announcements and crediting plans and/or automated questionnaires; * Evaluating applicant qualifications in comparison to OPM’s Personal Qualification Standards and any relevant agency standards; * Developing a best qualified list of applicants using category ranking or other similar rating methods; * Preparing Certificates of Eligibles for management’s consideration in making selections; * Resolving issues with managers and applicants on staffing actions; * Auditing Certificates of Eligibles after management selection to ensure compliance, and closes recruitment case files. Experience with Title 5 required. Knowledge of a wide range of rules, regulations, and procedures governing staffing and position classification of various types of occupations in the Federal government, including all aspects in the conduct of merit staffing and/or competitive examining (including DEU procedures). Job Requirements : * Must have had at least one year of specialized experience at GS-201-12 level performing staffing functions as described below. * Specialized experience must have been performed during the 36 months. * Must have extensive knowledge of regulations as they pertain to Title 5. * Must have extensive knowledge and experience in preparing vacancy announcements, job analysis and crediting plans. * Must have extensive knowledge and experience in preparing certificates of eligible’s, including veterans preference regulations. * Must have extensive knowledge of Classification. * Must have been Delegated Examining Unit "DEU" certified in a prior position / or have received DEU Training.
