Job No:  2009-0638N Job Title: Assistant Teacher, Hoya Kids Learning Center Department: Hoya Kids Learning Center Grade/Level: 07 Date Posted: July 22, 2009 This position assists the Teachers in providing developmentally appropriate care and early education to children of Staff, Faculty, and Students of the University by: .Creating and maintaining a safe, healthy, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children; .Conducting programs and activities that implement the emergent curriculum of the classroom; .Developing and maintaining mutually supportive relationships with individual parents that enable both parents and teachers to meet each childs individual needs;  .Monitoring and supporting each childs individual development. The position assumes temporary management of the classroom in the absence of the Teacher and performs the duties of the Teacher only as needed. The position reports to the Director of Hoya Kids Learning Center, with day to day guidance and direction from the classroom teacher(s). This is a term position.
