Job No: 2009-0468S Job Title: Research Assistant III Department: Lombardi Cancer Genetics & Epidemiology Program Grade/Level: 08 Date Posted: June 09, 2009 This is a new position to analyze phenotypic assays of cancer risk in primary cells in culture and estrogen receptor beta pathway in cancer. The person will perform laboratory studies that include receiving human blood/tissue samples, cell culture, phenotypic assays including comet assay and apoptosis, biochemical assays including western blot, RT-PCR, 2D gel electrophoresis, ELISA, and HPLC separations. This person also assists with general laboratory duties including ordering of supplies, literature review, and database management. Bachelors degree in related field. Basic skills in biochemical/cellular biology including work with human samples.
