Database Administrator

Job No:  2009-0422S Job Title: Database Administrator Department: LOMBARDI CANCER CONTROL Grade/Level: 12 Date Posted: June 01, 2009 Incumbent will serve as the primary database administrator, developer and programmer for the Fisher Center for Familial Cancer Research and the Familial Cancer Registry (FCR). In this position he/she will be in charge of overseeing several existing large databases, conceptualizing, creating and managing new databases, and linking multiple databases across different aspects of the FCR and Fisher Center. He/she will work directly with the PIs of the Fisher Center and FCR to develop tailored database management solutions to the specific needs of individual research projects. Finally, the incumbent will directly supervise data specialists affiliated with the FCR and Fisher Center.

This position requires an extremely high level of technical skill and experience. This position will meet regularly with the project PIs and will attend and participate in senior staff meetings of both the FCR and the Fisher Center.

At least eight years of experience as a database programmer/administrator. Experience working in a variety of settings including research is also required.

Experience with MS Access, SQL Server, SAS, SPSS, are required for this position.
