Responsibilities The VES Group is dedicated to providing the design and development of leading edge capabilities for next generation intelligent enterprise-scale IT, including content, communications, and services. The successful candidate will serve as a mathematician in the Analytics section applying mathematical problem-solving techniques and methods in collaboration with analysts and engineers to the development of intelligence and cyberanalytics in support of sponsor requirements. Provide technical expertise in the application of mathematics and statistics to the creation of analytics in response to sponsor requirements. Provide mathematical insights to the development of the science of analytics through proposal of and participation in internal research projects. Provide inputs to the section and group that guide their development of an analytics capability for AISD. Qualifications Required: MS/Ph.D in mathematics, statistics or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to work in interdisciplinary teams. Previous success in creatively addressing hard, real-world, large-data analytical problems and delivering results. Excellent speaking and writing skills, and experience in effectively communicating to both technical and analytical audiences. Desired: Previous experience working with Intelligence Community sponsors. Experience in conducting data analysis on massive data sets. Special Work Conditions Ability to commute to and work onsite at a sponsor facility within the local metro area at least 80% of the time, and travel up to 10%, as required. Security Applicants selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship. Must be eligible for DoD clearance requiring background investigation and/or polygraph examination. Preference for current SSBI.
