PRIMARY FUNCTION(S) Provide laboratory and analytical support to the R&D department of Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NAVEODTECHDIV) Indian Head, Maryland RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Duties include (but are not limited to): Perform chemical analysis of explosives, explosive trace/vapor using laboratory equipment in a USN facility Perform test, analysis and reporting on detection technologies and development of processes whereby emerging detection technologies might be utilized.. Develop and deliver briefings, project papers, status/staff reports, and correspondence to managers to foster understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Degree Requirements: BS Chemistry 5-10 years experience working in a laboratory using standard analytical/test equipment and procedures in munitions, explosives, counter-improvised explosive devices, nuclear DoD environment. Applicants selected for this position will require background screening and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Applicants selected for a security clearance will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirement for access to classified information.
