Job Description:
This position will play a key role in the development of strategies and implementation of IP telephony and unified messaging technologies. Closely works with technical teams and designated groups in the development and implementation of telephony based business solutions. Consult, design, implement, maintain and support the firm’s telecommunications infrastructure. This includes system administration, troubleshooting, analysis, testing, research, training, problem solving, technical support, development, and testing/deployment of new applications, hardware, and systems.
Additionally responsible for establishing project plans, schedules, and documentation including support processes and operating procedures. Function as an internal consultant and resource to others in the department as it relates to current and future telecommunications infrastructures. Serve as a project lead on tasks and initiatives of varying size being responsible for the coordination and overall project management as assigned by the Telecommunication Supervisor or Manager of Network Services/Director of Operations.
Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelors Degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent work experience in telecommunications field. These requirements may be met through formal coursework or equivalent level of experience.
Experience:
Qualified candidate will include 8-10 years of broadly based, progressive experience in a large telephony environment
3-5 years of experience in:
telecommunication implementation and support
unified messaging implementation and support
Windows Server operating system environment
IP telecommunications support role
Comprehensive knowledge of the fundamental concepts used in telecommunications systems administration and support and relevant hardware and software applications
