Requisition Number 09-0090 Post Date 8/5/2009 Title Environmental Economist City New Castle State DE Description ENTRIXs Northeastern Region is currently seeking to fill a full-time position in New Castle, DE, Chicago, IL, or Raleigh NC for a: Natural Resource and Environmental Economist ENTRIX, Inc. is seeking a Natural Resource & Environmental Economist to work with a multidisciplinary team of accomplished biologists, ecologists, risk assessors, and planners on a variety of projects in the United States. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1. Providing technical support in economics and statistics to various projects 2. Report and proposal writing 3. Task management

Requirements Basic Qualifications: 1. Bachelors degree, and two years relevant research experience in economics or a closely related field (e.g. natural resource economics, agricultural economics) 2. Training in and experience with economic valuation of natural resources and/or environmental quality change specifically related to aquatic and/or terrestrial resources (water quality, fisheries, recreation) using revealed and/or stated preference methods 3. Demonstrates excellence in quantitative economic methods including statistics/econometrics 4. Excellent oral and written communication skills 5. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel 6. Must be authorized to work in U.S. without company sponsorship Desired Qualifications: 1. Masters Degree 2. Formal degree or substantial training in an aquatic or terrestrial environmental science (e.g. biology, ecology etc.) 3. Bio-economic modeling experience 4. Knowledge of U.S. environmental regulations 5. Positive, flexible, team-oriented approach, with the willingness and desire to work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team 6. Ability to simultaneously work on and manage multiple tasks/projects 7. Pro-active thinker who thrives on bringing innovative economic approaches to bear on complex environmental problems
