This position provides an opportunity to set the technical architecture direction and to ensure that architectural decisions and practices are technically sound and in accordance with all policies and standards. This is a key position, with high visibility, and influence. Resource will interact with all levels of Technology individually and in groups, on products, design, and other technical matters spanning multiple technologies and platforms. He or she will gain experience in guiding architectural decisions and working with vendors, and have an opportunity to improve skills in communication, planning, training, and problem solving. Resource will report to the CTO and work closely with the Chief Strategists in each LOB Responsible for setting the strategy and standards for the technology hardware, operating system, software, and tools used within to develop applications. · You will work with the chief strategist to align our suite of products and tool to the enterprise, as well as provide a clear view of technically stack to broader application development community Responsible to ensure that our technology stack supports the overall goals of time to market and delivery, by providing easy to use and understands standards that drive value and consistency throughout the organization. · You will be responsible for establishing goals aligned with the reducing the proliferation of disparate platforms and tools, measuring the progress and driving the change throughout the organization EXPECTED CONTRIBUTION/TASKS - WHAT WILL SUCCESS LOOK LIKE IN 12 MONTHS · Technology will have a common approach to architecture, fully integrated across the organization, and compliant with all policies and practices. · Enable a Technology Stack that is consistent across the organization · Participate in, and driving, architecture decisions in partnership with development teams and the chief strategists. · Create a technology environment that clearly defines the products and services that will be used for the CMB run time technology stack, development tools, and operating support needs · A technical road map for significant leverage and re-use will be established · Effective working relationships will be established within Technology · Establish a plan to streamline Technology product portfolio · Establish technology deployment patterns for major disciplines EXPERIENCE · Experience with Technical architecture across the entire technology stack · Broad general knowledge of technology trends and developments, particularly related to the financial industry. · Knowledge of Capital Markets, banking, securities processing and settlement systems. · Experience in the design of large applications and the introduction of new technologies. · Practical Infrastructure and application development experience SKILLS · Ability to understand and design end to end technical architecture solutions in a large diverse environment · Self-starting. Able to conduct informational and educational sessions for all staff. · Adept at framing technical matters in business terms. · Ability to manage and drive outcomes outside of direct reporting lines. · Strong technical background, including hardware, software, networks and process methods. · Superior leadership and motivational skills. · Detailed oriented, driven for results and change Job Descriptions: General Qualifications We are looking for two contract employees to join the ICG Architecture team. The team reports into the ICG Office of the CTO and is generally responsible for Architecture standards and processes across ICG Lines of Business. Both positions will require sharp technology expertise, familiarity with a wide range of technologies, and experience and expertise in Best Practices around architecture processes and governance. The ideal candidates will possess 8-10 years of experience in a consultative or permanent staff role with one or more major organizations in the Financial Services Industry. Candidates will have excellent presentation and communication skills as well as experience with Senior Management level reporting. Tangible skill will include hands on experience in the development or development management of financial applications. Experience with a broad array of technologies in the data, presentation and operating systems levels will be required for the candidate to be successful. While the qualifications for both candidates will be very similar in terms of core strengths and experiences, we will be looking for one candidate to fill a more technical role and one to be more familiar with the process and business facing sides of architectural governance. The former will have deeper experiences in the implementation of various technologies whereas the latter will possess a high level of expertise business facing processes such as financial reporting, benchmarking, program tracking and business analytics.
