We have three promising products in late-stage development - one, raxibacumab, already commercialized with sales to the U.S, Government and two moving toward commercialization. BENLYSTAT (formerly LymphoStat-B) has successfully met its primary endpoint in the first of two Phase 3 trials in systemic lupus, and we expect to have results of the second BENLYSTA Phase 3 trial in November 2009. ZALBINT (formerly Albuferon) has completed Phase 3 development in chronic hepatitis C, and we expect the submission of global marketing applications in fall 2009. We are developing both of these products in collaboration with world leaders in the pharmaceutical industry. Further, in July 2009, we secured a new purchase order for 45,000 doses of raxibacumab, a drug to combat inhalational anthrax, to be delivered to the U.S. Strategic National Stockpile over a three-year period. As a member of the Manufacturing team at HGS, you will be helping bring our new drugs to patients. HGS believes our in-house skills, facilities and experience in biologics manufacturing are a vital strategic asset. Multiple opportunities for Manufacturing Associates exist in both our Clinical and Large-Scale Manufacturing (LSM) facilities. In production operations, cell culture/fermentation and purification teams are responsible for Media Prep, Inoculum, Culturing and Harvest activities, Chromatography, Microfiltration/Ultrafiltration, and Bulk Fill, including: . Operating bioprocess equipment . Completing cGMP documentation . Troubleshooting equipment . Training colleagues . Assisting in or leading resolution of technical, operational, and documentation problems . Drafting, revising and reviewing cGMP documents . .Working in a clean room cGMP environment . Requirements Minimum qualifications: . Bachelors Degree in Scientific discipline with 0-2 years experience, or the equivalent combination of education (High School or Associates Degree) and experience . All candidates MUST be able to work shift work. In addition, candiates must be able to work overtime as required . Ability to lift and carry 30 pounds
