GIS Analyst/Data Loader Location Bethesda, MD Job Type Intelligence Status Open The GIS Analyst/Data Loader must have working knowledge and experience in the operational use and technical support of geospatial databases utilizing the ESRI suite of tools. Duties include using the ESRI suite to support the loading and management of multiple types of geospatial data (both Raster and Vector) to provide operational support to analysts in support of the GWOT. The qualified candidate will possess strong working experience with GIS Analysis, working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2003 x64, Enterprise Edition, end-user experience with the ESRI Suite v9.2 (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcSDE, etc.), experience with various types of Raster Data (LIDAR, Buckeye, etc.) and Vector data, experience as an on-site contractor working in a team environment with a Government Client, strong written and communication skills, and analytical background with strong troubleshooting skills. The selected applicant experience with large, mission critical enterprise environments, ability to multi-task, accomplish tasks with limited supervision, and respond to short notice tasking, ability to assist analysts with obtaining external geospatial data and metadata for the inclusion in the contract Geo-databases, working knowledge and participation in meetings/forums such as the Geospatial-Intelligence Working Group (GWG) Metadata Focus Group (MFG), and the ability to conduct quality assurance inspections for both quality of the data and for association of the required metadata per contract standards. The desired skills, but not required are as follows: . Experience with Oracle 10g . Remote View . Falcon View . ERDAS . Experience with ESRI Image Server v9.2 and the creation of Image Services . Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Server v9.2 and the creation of GIS Services . ESRI certifications Minimum Requirements: . Applicant must possess a TS/SCI security clearance. . Must be willing to work in Bethesda, MD on a daily basis. . PhD plus at least 6 years of directly related experience or . MS plus at least 8 years of directly related experience or . BS plus at least 10 years of directly related experience
