Location: NYC
Duration: 6 months (possible contract to hire)
SQA Analyst III
Conduct Software Quality Assurance (SQA) testing activities to ensure that Client application products operate correctly and meet specified requirements.
Functions:
Analyze business requirements and technical specifications for Client applications. Create the corresponding test strategy, test plans, and test cases for Client SQA team
Execute SQA testing of client applications in accordance with project documentation and aligned with company standards.
Perform back-end (database) testing using SQL queries on Oracle and SQL Server databases. Perform regression and integration testing. Perform front-end (functional) testing of Web and GUI applications
Analyze test results and logs defects in HP Quality Center. Partner with project team members on the resolution and re-testing of identified defects and issues
Prepare reports of defects, test results, etc., through HP Quality Center. Provide constructive feedback and process improvement recommendations to the project team.
TYPICAL EDUCATION:(If there is a minimum requirement, please note it)
Minimum B.A./B.S. and/or ten+ years IT experience working with software, including 5 – 8 years performing Software Quality Assurance.
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: (If there is a minimum requirement, please note it.)
5 – 8 years experience performing Software Quality Assurance testing of business applications.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE:
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Project.
Proficient in writing complex SQL and Oracle database queries.
Proficient in HP Quality Center.
Proficient in XML, JUnit, and Clover preferred. Proficiency in Web Services testing tools preferred (soapUI).
Knowledge of automated testing and performance testing tools preferred (e.g., Quick Test Pro, Winrunner, Loadrunner).
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Effective communications skills.
Strong analytical ability and technical aptitude.
Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.
Team player.
Health care experience preferred
