Vice President Accounting/Regulatory Reporting To $130K+ bonus Location * New York, NY Responsibilities Our client, a top international bank, is currently seeking a VP level Accounting/Regulatory Reporting professional to join their Comptrollers Group in Midtown Manhattan. The ideal candidate will have previous experience dealing with US regulatory agencies FDIC, FRB etc, and will also have strong knowledge of banking products such as derivatives and fixed income. * Weekly, monthly and quarterly preparation of regulatory reports (variance, product interpretations, comparative analysis, etc) and schedule meetings to discuss these reports with senior management. * Update regulatory reporting forms and descriptions and make necessary changes to internal manuals. * Oversee international to US GAAP conversions made to internal documents. * Act as liaison between the various business lines and the FRB and other regulatory agencies regarding product classifications and requirements. * Train and mentor staff on regulatory issues. Qualifications * 8+ years of experience in an accounting/regulatory reporting role at a financial institution. * Strong knowledge of banking products: fixed income, FX, derivatives, etc. * Excellent communication skills both written and oral. * Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) * Bachelors degree required. * CPA a plus
