Responsibilities: 1. Screen potential clients, initiate first contact with the family and assist the family with World of Cares intake procedures and paperwork. 2. Assess the child and familys psychosocial needs and develop and implement a social work treatment plan. 3. Advocate for appropriate financial, social and education referrals and coordinate services with families. 4. Conduct family, individual and group therapy as needed. 5. Collect monthly and quarterly statistics and provide quarterly reporting regarding family issues. 6. Facilitate interdisciplinary team meetings and consult as needed. 7. Present workshops, lectures and discussions to community health professionals, targeted parent groups, early intervention agencies, public service organizations and health management organizations. 8. Meet all assigned goals, and complete paperwork in a manner consistent with Institute and Departmental expectations as well as guidelines established by JCAHO, CARF and the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners. 9. Initiate and participate in projects that contribute to the growth of the World of Care Program (e.g. groups, special projects, trainee supervision, trainings and publications Qualifications: EDUCATION: - Masters Degree in Social Work from accredited school of Social Work - Must be licensed in the State of Maryland by the Board of Social Work Examiners, as a Graduate Social Worker (L.G.S.W.) EXPERIENCE: -Must have at least one year of post-Masters clinical experience in providing direct social work services to children, adolescents, young adults and families, preferably those with developmental disabilities or chronic health conditions or disorders of the brain.
